Dining Guide for San Gabriel Valley (626) (Includes: Alhambra, Arcadia, Baldwin Park, City of Industry, Diamond Bar, El Monte, Hacienda Heights, Montebello, Monterey Park, Pasadena, Rosemead, Rowland Heights, San Gabriel, Walnut)

Romantic Steak House
119 E. Valley Blvd.San Gabriel, CA 91776
Tel: 626-307-3558

On our anniversary, my boyfriend took me to this romantic little restaurant on Valley Blvd. in San Gabriel. They've got awesome steak and lobster dinner. Very pricy, I think the steak and lobster dinner costs over $20/entree. Parking is a bitch, very small parking lot in the back, but if you're lucky enough, you can park on the curb in front of the restaurant.

Young Dong Tofu
1311-B S. Baldwin Ave., Arcadia, CA 91007
Tel: 626-445-0078

Authentic Korean food in Arcadia with reasonable price on BBQ's and various Stone Pot Tofus. Make sure you pick a cool weather to enjoy the spicy and hot pots. - thl

Katiga
140 W. Valley Blvd., #213 San Gabriel, CA 91776
626-288-7768

My mom and I usually hang out together on Thursdays, and we would drive out all the way to San Gabriel to eat lunch. When we've visited all the new restaurants or can't agree on what to eat, we'd always end up at Katiga Japanese Restaurant.

Located in the convenient San Gabriel Focus Plaza, on the 2nd floor right next to the Dept. Store, Katiga is fairly new. Upon entering, the waitress and sushi chiefs would welcome you. They've got lunch specials that will fill you up with great food, rice, salad, and soup. If you want sushi, you've got to have Salmon Skin Handroll, it is the best! -thl

Lollicup
19253 E. Colima Rd. Rowland Heights, CA 91748
Tel: 626-854-0986

By far the BEST best lollicup of all that I've been to. Their boba is the best, always fresh, chewy, and perfectly cooked. I dont have to mention the drinks, cuz you all know they've got all kinds of juice, milk tea, snow bubbles, and slushes. But, I'll bet you dont know that this Lollicup has the great "Pork Chop Rice." I especially like the kimchi on the side with minced pork on the rice. Yumm.... -thl

Garden Cafe
18406 E. Colima Rd., #H Rowland Heights, CA 91748
Tel: 626-913-1188

Really hungry? Really thirsty? Visit Garden Cafe (Hong Kong style) at their two locations in Rowland Heights and Alhambra. Baked seafood rice, and XO Seafood udon are my personal favorite. Try different dishes and sauces. Dont forget to get some exotic juice blends! The restaurant do get very crowded, so be patient waiting for a table. -thl
