Hatano
Japanese Restaurant

Looking for something Japanese other than sushi? Hatano is a small
mom/pop restaurant in northridge. At lunch time, the place is usually
packed! Nearby office workers always chill here, because of the
great food, especially the $7.25 lunch combination with choice of
two main items, i.e. don katsu or california roll. My favorite,
Bento A at $8.25 each, comes with teriyaki beef or chicken, tamago,
grilled fish, lobster cake, shrimp and veggie tempura, and various
little side orders. Or, you can have Bento B with sashimi at the
same price! Hatano is closed on Mondays. -thl

Sushi
Factory

Tampa AvenueNorthridge, CA 91325

Sushi in the Valley? Sushi Factory needs to churn out better Sushi!!!
Sushi Factory isn't as great as it was a month ago when it first
opened (the lobsters are a great deal smaller), but is still comparable
to the Todai establishments in SoCal. The
prices here are slightly higher than those at Todai, and the normal
amount here is roughly $52 for two ($27/each,
including beverages).
It's located adjacent to the Northridge Fashion Plaza (the Northridge
Mall), near Borders. -gcc

Best
Teriyaki In Town
10:00a.m.-7:30p.m.
Visited
Hamburger Hut for the third time. Korean mom and pop owned hamburger
joint which is better known for their teriyaki beef bowls and chicken
plates. For under $7 you can enjoy a delicious plate of beef, complete
with rice and sides of salad and kim-chi (not too fond of the kim-chi).
Service is fast and the food was prepared within 3 minutes of ordering.
Highly recommended.

Kiku
Teriyaki
9250 Reseda Blvd. #4, Northridge, CA 91324
Proclaimed as
"the best teriyaki in town". However, I beg to differ.
After trying both their beef teriyaki and chicken bowl, I must say
that their teriyaki is the worst in town because both tasted very
bland. Kiku Teriyaki does not compare to Teriyaki Masudaya, which
has better teriyaki beef and chicken and offers chicken cutlet w/curry
sauce as well as California roll. After dining there twice, I would
suggest anyone not to go there and go to the other Teriyaki place
instead. -kk
