Called Broadway Bar & Grill in downtown Glendale.
The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. I had a chicken
salad sandwich ($6.95) and Jenn had a chicken
club sandwich ($7.95). We both shared a Calamari
appetizer ($6.95). The cafe was very clean and the service
was decent. Located across the street from Ben and Jerry's. Parking
is across the street, but is the first two hours are validated by
the Cafe. -gcc

Sushi in the Valley? Sushi Factory needs to churn out better Sushi!!!
Sushi Factory isn't as great as it was a month ago when it first
opened (the lobsters are a great deal smaller), but is still comparable
to the Todai establishments in SoCal.
The prices here are slightly higher than those at Todai, and the
normal amount here is roughly $52 for two
($27/each, including beverages).
It's located adjacent to the Northridge Fashion Plaza (the Northridge
Mall), near Borders. -gcc

Krua
Thai Restaurant,
located in North Hollywood, is one of the better Thai restaurants
in the Valley. Having been there on numerous occasions, it still
is one of my favorite Thai restaurants to go to. Although Sanumluang
Café, another Thai restaurant down the street, is another
choice to dine, I felt that Krua Thai is the better of the two.
Though the décor is nicer at Krua Thai, the food speaks for
itself. Some of my favorite dishes include shrimp cake and panang
(beef curry in peanut-coconut sauce). With decent prices and great
food, Krua Thai is a great bargain for those wanting exceptional
Thai food. -kk

Micheline's
Pita Pockets, located on Reseda in the Vons plaza, offers
a variety of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food. Some of my favorite
dishes include lemon chicken laffa w/tabouli (chopped parsley) and
falafel (deep fried vegetarian balls made of garbanzo beans) pita.
Although the décor is not all that and prices are a little
expensive, the food makes it all up. This restaurant is one of those
holes in the walls and I strongly suggest that you give it a try.
(Remember to say that you are a student or you won't get a 10% discount).

Shirrin
Restaurant,
located in Encino on Ventura Blvd, is one of the finest Persian
restaurants the Valley has to offer at decent prices. Shirrin's
lunch specials beginning at $4.99 and serves all types of meat entrees
(beef, chicken, and fish) and vegetarian dishes. The décor
is nice, and food is plentiful as you are served with shish kabobs
and basmati rice. The restaurant makes it a good bargain for lunch
as you are definitely getting your money's worth. -kk
